Pixelmetrix to launch Consolidator™, its new generation Network Management System, StationView™ and Electronic Couch Potato™
Video Quality Index™ at NAB 2011
Singapore, March 28, 2011 – Pixelmetrix, the global expert in Preventive Monitoring for digital television and IPTV networks, is set to launch its Consolidator™, its new generation Network Management System, StationView™ for Simple, Effective Monitoring and the Electronic Couch Potato™ (ECP) Video Quality Index™ (VQI) for video quality verification.
Consolidator™ provides centralized access and visibility of key network fault and performance information. Scalable to thousands of probes and millions of data points, it tracks all parameters in real time, through a combination of push notifications and information pull mechanisms, enabling faster fault resolution, thus improving Quality of Service.
Consolidator can also give an aggregated view for display on a video wall. This view combines data collected from different monitoring points within the network. Role-based views and access permissions allow creation of different views based on application – including drill-down screens for troubleshooting and executive dashboards.
StationView™ provides television operators with Simple, Effective Monitoring, utilizing the power and flexibility of SNMP without the complexity and hassle of heavy network management systems.
Perfect for remote transmitter monitoring, StationView consolidates alarms and status from up to 15 remotely located DVStation probes into a concise dashboard showing RF status, TS bandwidth alarms, transport stream health and service/content verification results. Audio and video status is also summarized for each service. To simplify deployment, StationView is packaged in a convenient ready-to-go appliance.
New for the Electronic Couch Potato™ (ECP) is the Video Quality Index™ (VQI). This video quality measurement tool scans all channels, identifies common video impairments such as macro-blocking, tiling and freeze frame, then combines them to a single, integrated metric. Results are consolidated across all channels and remote sites – making it easy to identify when and where video quality issues strike.
A slew of solutions in the demo line-up also include ATSC Monitoring, Affordable Transport Stream Monitoring, Transport Stream Recording & Playout, IP Headend Monitoring as well as Satellite Monitoring.
Pixelmetrix develops a host of IPTV and Preventive Monitoring systems that offer unique attributes and versatility, allowing operators to achieve end-to-end visibility and keep tabs on their network architecture.
NAB 2011 will be held from April 11 to 14, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
