Press ReleasesPixelmetrix Compliance Recording & Viewer Experience Monitoring Solutions Take Centre Stage at InterBEE 2011 in TokyoTokyo, November 17, 2011 – Pixelmetrix, the global expert in Preventive Monitoring for digital television and IPTV networks, is highlighting its two key products, DVStor2 for Compliance Recording and the Electronic Couch Potato™ (ECP) for Viewer Experience Monitoring, at InterBEE, booths 5103 and 5308. DVStor2 provides automatic playout of previously recorded content, in the event of any upstream disruption. It can can export content as SPTS/Quicktime movie/MPG files. The new IP playback function can also handle multiple audio streams as well as embedded DVB subtitles. Its high-density storage allows for long-term recording capability - ideal for quality audits and compliance recording. The simple playlist and EPG search functions enable combining historical and evergreen material, putting broadcasters back on the air quickly, making the DVStor² the perfect solution for disaster recovery standby system too. Robust, reliable and scalable architecture, DVStor2 features RAID-6 and redundant power supplies to further protect archived content. The Electronic Couch Potato™ (ECP) connects after the Set Top Box (STB) and provides feedback on various service quality parameters to a central site. It stands out with its ability to emulate an end-user changing channels on a STB via a built-in infrared (IR) transmitter. Service plan verification, channel switching and multiple measurements on service quality for each channel reported to a central management console, give service providers valuable insight into the viewer experience and confirms the availability of subscribed-to channels. New for the ECP is the Video Quality Index™ (VQI). This video quality measurement tool scans all channels, identifies common video impairments such as macro-blocking, tiling and freeze frame, then combines them to a single, integrated metric. Results are consolidated across all channels and remote sites – making it easy to identify when and where video quality issues strike. Pixelmetrix exhibits at InterBEE with Hoei Sangyo (booth 5103) and InnoQos (booth 5308), the authorized distributors in Japan. InterBEE is held from November 16 to 18 at the Makuhari Messe, Tokyo.
