Pixelmetrix boosts its DVStor2 with new applications for IBC 2012 demo
Singapore, August 10, 2012 – Pixelmetrix, a leading innovator for professional video and television solutions, has further loaded up its DVStor2 Transport Stream Recording, Playout, Compliance Recording and Disaster Recovery product family with new and innovative features.
At the upcoming IBC in Amsterdam, booth 1F34, Pixelmetrix will showcase the DVStor2 with EPG (Electronic Program Guide) support that simplifies locating and selecting specific programs within the massive library of the DVStor2. Once located, the entire program can be exported in native or reduced resolution.
Its Timeline Content Browser, on the other hand, provides a groundbreaking change in the way video is viewed, searched and extracted – enabling operators to quickly get on with their job without struggling with obscure user interfaces. This Browser fits seamlessly into any network environment, helping operators find content in any input stream promptly. Once located, marking an "In" and "Out" point, and then exporting the clip is only two clicks away. Clips can be exported in MPEG-TS, Quicktime and MPEG-2 formats. The Timeline Content Browser accomplishes this ease of use by presenting several time bands marked in years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds. Scrolling to any point in time is a cinch.
The DVStor2 EPG augments the highly visual Timeline feature, providing direct visualization of program content on multiple services and transport streams.
Danny Wilson, Pixelmetrix President & CEO said, “The Pixelmetrix DVStor2 capability has expanded beyond simple archive and storage management. We constantly innovate with customers' ever changing needs in mind, catering to unique requirements – be it for Disaster Recovery or House of Worship.”
Another enhancement to the DVStor2 is the MultiFlow feature, which dramatically increases the utility of the DVStor2 platform by enabling simultaneous and independent recording and playback of numerous content streams.
With MultiFlow, playing out several time delayed streams originating from a single input or multiple inputs can be easily achieved, all with one machine. Alternatively, a single DVStor2 can be deployed to provide compliance logging and media monitoring of many stations at a time.
Demo highlights at booth 1F34 also include the new Pelican Video Encoder and OTT Media Grinder (OMG) QoS/QoE solution for Over-The-Top Video.
Pixelmetrix develops a host of Preventive Monitoring solutions, for Quality of Service and Quality of Experience, that offer unique attributes and versatility, allowing operators to achieve end-to-end visibility, and keep tabs on their network architecture while reducing operating expenses.
